Rules and guidelines for using Jaapak

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using Jaapak (“the App”), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions (“Terms”). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the App.

These Terms constitute a legal agreement between you (“User”) and Satish Sahu (“Developer,” “we,” “us,” or “our”).

2. License

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App for personal, non-commercial purposes on any Android device that you own or control, subject to these Terms.

You may not:

  • Copy, modify, or distribute the App or its content.
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App.
  • Remove or alter any proprietary notices or labels in the App.
  • Use the App for any unlawful or unauthorised purpose.
  • Attempt to gain unauthorised access to the App’s systems or networks.

3. Description of Service

Jaapak is a spiritual counter application designed to assist users in tracking their japa (chanting) and spiritual practices. The App provides counting tools, session tracking, ambient sounds, and related features. All data is stored locally on your device.

4. User Responsibilities

As a user of Jaapak, you agree to:

  • Use the App only for its intended purpose of spiritual practice tracking.
  • Ensure that your use of the App complies with all applicable laws and regulations.
  • Maintain the security of your device and any data stored by the App.
  • Not use the App in any way that could damage, disable, or impair its functionality.

5. Intellectual Property

The App, including its design, code, graphics, interface, and content, is the intellectual property of Satish Sahu and is protected by applicable copyright and intellectual property laws.

The name “Jaapak,” the App logo, and all related marks are the property of the Developer. Nothing in these Terms grants you any right to use the Developer’s trademarks or branding.

6. Third-Party Services

The App may use Google Play Services for core functionality. These third-party services are governed by their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the practices of these third-party services.

Additional third-party integrations (such as cloud backup or advertising) may be introduced in future updates and will be governed by their respective terms.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

The App is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components. You use the App at your own risk.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the Developer shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to:

  • Loss of data stored on your device.
  • Inability to use the App.
  • Any interruption of service.
  • Any errors or inaccuracies in the App.

In no event shall the Developer’s total liability exceed the amount you paid for the App (if any).

9. Termination

We reserve the right to terminate or suspend your access to the App at any time, without prior notice, for any reason, including if you breach these Terms.

You may terminate your use of the App at any time by uninstalling it from your device. Upon termination, all locally stored data will be deleted.

10. Changes to Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. Updated Terms will be posted on this page with a revised “Last Updated” date. Your continued use of the App after any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

11. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Any disputes arising from or relating to these Terms or the use of the App shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in India.

12. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.
